There's a flea market on Sunday morning at Porta Portese ; it now offers mainly new or secondhand clothing, but there are still a few dealers in old furniture and sundry objects, much of it intriguing junk. Bargaining is the rule here, and it is imperative to take precautions against pickpockets.

Though not strictly a flea market, the outdoor stalls at Via Sannio, open weekdays 10am to 1pm and Saturday 10am to 6pm, offer bargains in used clothing and army surplus.
