Fondi, the homeland of director Giuseppe De Santis, is once again taking center stage in the cinematic universe with the film festival “Cinema Under the Stars – From Myth to Public” at the Cloister of San Domenico. Curated by the Latilla brothers in collaboration with Ermete Labbadia, and generously sponsored by the Lazio Region, the Province of Latina, and the Municipality of Fondi, the two-day event promises plenty of surprises and prominent guests.

The first evening will open with the screening of the finalist short films from the Lenola International Film Festival “Inventa un Film”. This will be followed by a special screening of the short documentary “Twilight of the Gods” by the Latilla brothers, introduced by Dr. Francesco Subiaco. The evening will then shift into high gear with the special screening of the promotional short “June 4, 2026” (from the film Smart Working) and a meeting with director and actor Svevo Moltrasio. There will be a debate with actress Yassmin Pucci and actor-dubbing artist Thomas Semeraro, leading into the special screening of “The Fantastic 4 x 2” with remarks by director and screenwriter Ermete Labbadia and actor Giuseppe Pestillo. Finally, director and screenwriter Valerio Vestoso will speak.

The second evening will feature a new selection of finalist short films from the Lenola International Film Festival “Inventa un Film”, followed by meetings with director Franco Angeli and actress Livia Bonifazi. It continues with the special screening of “Shadow Zones” (with director Antonio Fasolo and actor Giuseppe Pestillo), and a meeting with actor Antonio Piovanelli. The highlight of the evening will be the special screening of “Grattis John” featuring supervising producer Daniel Alegi and photographer Daniele Luxardo, who will be in conversation with RAI journalist and author Lorella Di Biase.
