May the 11th was the D-day. After one year from the new opening of the Renaissance Santa Severa Castle, the artistic lights on the site were turned on. A further cultural offer together with four museums, guided visits, historical reenactments, different kinds of concerts, contemporary exhibition and conferences.
The project, that was born from the cooperation among Lazio Region and ACEA, turned the lights, not only metaphorically, on the monument. The fascinating frame of the greatest historical heritage in Santa Marinella area follows the most famous masterpieces of architecture in the world.
If it were not enough, this relevant investment comes after the choice to build a dialogue with the youngest visitors. Since last month the first historical hostel on the beach opened with 42 beds. Who didn’t dream about sleeping in a castle? On the numbers evidence its interest is very high.
On May the 12th the Castle hosted the school event #ConnectingTalents2018. The project, part of the programme Alternanza scuola-lavoro, involved the students of 20 Lazio food, wine and hotel institutes to promote the territory. They used new media and were the protagonists of show-cooking, bartending, conferences, guided visits and much more. A real territory campaign from an historical, food and wine point of view through the youngest hands and eyes, an investment on the new generations together with the development of the actual heritage.
Thanks to these initiatives, the numbers of visitors left up to three thousand, a record, and it is only the beginning of the season.
