SHAZAM REVIEW! FURY OF THE GODS

We are now in the second installment of this DC universe character, which seems closer to total collapse than to a Marvel-style expansion.
The entire cast of the previous installment is retained, with the valuable graft of the three fearsome adversaries Hesperia, Kalypso and Anthea the daughters of Titan (played very well by Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler) who arrive to bring confusion to the world of magic that is not easy for our hero to handle as he grapples with family problems, abandonment syndromes and the raging hormones of a teenager.

The ingredients of the classic cinecomic are all there: the difficulties of being a hero (especially with all the press against it), scenes with funny jokes (this time without lapsing into the ridicule of other films), impressive CGI to support the action scenes that works 99.9% , a good soundtrack with some goodies, very tight editing, not excessive length and lack of downtime.
All on well-defined subplots (the relationship with his adoptive family, his first love, ect ect) that again highlight the big heart of little Billy Batson, even in his heroic version played perfectly by Zachary Levi.

So our advice is to take the whole family and bring them to enjoy this movie at the cinema, staying seated in the seats until the end, because there are no less than three moooolly important final scenes.
And if after the viewing you will feel like missing something it is only because not being a Marvel movie pays for the lesser knowledge of the characters here in Italy
