Avrebbe compiuto cento anni quest’anno Giulio Andreotti, il Divo del film di Sorrentino, e qualcuno avrebbe scommesso tutto che ce l’avrebbe fatta. Probabilmente l’uomo politico più longevo d’Italia, sebbene abbia lasciato questo mondo il 6 gennaio 2013 ha vissuto una vita intensa e piena di soddisfazioni.

«Il potere logora chi non ce l’ha» è una delle sue frasi storiche più note, ma alcuni ricordano anche l’infelice battuta «Meglio tirare a campare che tirare le cuoia…» quando, nel 1991, il suo governo era assediato dai giornalisti e la sua carriera politica aveva intrapreso la via del tramonto.

La carriera politica di Giulio Andreotti è stata oggetto delle più contrastate interpretazioni, tra successi e polemiche è ancora una delle figure politiche più controverse della storia democratica italiana. In vita ha subito numerose contestazioni che hanno riguardato tutti i campi della sua attività, ma molti illustri chi lo han criticato e condannato oggi ne ammirano alcuni tratti.

Giulio Andreotti (Roma, 14 gennaio 1919 – Roma, 6 maggio 2013) è stato un politico, scrittore, giornalista, 7 volte presidente del Consiglio e 27 volte ministro.  È stato un protagonista indiscusso della vita politica italiana e tra i principali esponenti della Democrazia Cristiana, partito protagonista della vita politica italiana per gran parte della seconda metà del XX secolo.  Eletto Senatore a vita dal 1991.

Le sue frasi sono divenute famose, un vero e proprio patrimonio della cultura politica italiana. Con le sue “battute”, ha confuso molti osservatori che non si aspettavano l’umorismo tagliente di cui era capace. Probabilmente Andreotti è stato l’unico uomo politico italiano a possedere questo “senso of umor” che assesta colpi senza perdere mai la guardia proprio come un bravo schermitore. Molti ricordano le sue battute cattive, ma una cattiveria corretta dal garbo. Di farsi se ne sono state sia per gli amici che per i nemici:

La Mostra fotografica

Presso il Complesso Monumentale di San Salvatore in Lauro (Piazza San Salvatore in Lauro n. 15), in occasione del centenario della nascita di Giulio Andreotti (1919-2019), in collaborazione con Organizzazione Generale e Realizzazione COR, martedì 15 gennaio 2019 è stata inaugurata la mostra “Giulio Andreotti, immagini di una vita”, allestita nelle sale espositive del Complesso. La mostra raccoglie tutta una serie di immagini antologiche della vita di Giulio Andreotti.

La mostra resterà aperta al pubblico sino a sabato 16 febbraio 2019, dalle ore 10.30 alle ore 13.00 e dalle ore 16.00 alle ore 19.00.
