Anche quest´anno, estate o inverno che sia, appena possibile si parte alla ricerca di un mare straordinario e di fondali incantevoli. Maldive, Madagascar, Egitto, la nostra Sardegna, e poi ritrovarsi a pochi chilometri da casa e quasi pentirsi di non aver dedicato più tempo a queste splendide isole, così vicine ma capaci dopo tanti anni di stupire. Il mare cristallino rende queste isole meta ideale di chi ama fare immersioni ma il susseguirsi selvaggio di promontori , di grotte, baie , scorci e spiagge, di incomparabile bellezza le rende l´arcipelago più straordinario del mar Tirreno per tutti , proprio per la varietà delle coste, dei colori delle rocce, dei villaggi e dei piccoli porti in puro stile mediterraneo.
Rese famose per il colore del mare che raccoglie tutte le sfumature del blu che circondano le terre di origine vulcanica, le Grotta di Mazzoggiorno, PalmarolaIsole pontine offrono davvero molto. Ponza è una meta obbligata, l´isola principale e centro dell¡äarcipelago, apprezzata da tutti anche dai turisti che non praticano immersioni, offre bar, ristoranti , caffè, locali notturni ma anche spiagge come Chiaia di Luna, promontori, grotte e baie di incomparabile bellezza . Questa isola è celebre per le grotte, alcune naturali e molte create dagli etruschi, come quella del Serpente e la Galleria Romana, tunnel di epoca romana che connette il paese di Ponza alla spiaggia di Chiaia di Luna, e per le rovine delle necropoli egizie, greche e fenicie.

L isola dista approssimativamente 6 miglia marine da Ponza. Da un punto di vista geologico Palmarola offre importanti curiosità  come le rocce di tipo ossidiano nella sua parte settentrionale mentre la natura calcarea delle rocce a sud ne enfatizza l¡äazzurro del mare, perfettamente trasparente.

Il colore del mare è  straordinario, è  pieno di sfumature e di vita, di grotte e passaggi sopra e sotto l´acqua, isole che fanno innamorare chi ama il relax e lo snorkeling cosi come i sub più  esperti. Uno scrigno di meraviglie a due passi da Roma .

Questo angolo di paradiso è  collegato ad Anzio con traghetto veloce con partenza alle 8.30 o 9.25 e rientro da Ponza alle 17.00 circa. E sono raggiungibili anche da Napoli, Terracina, e Formia .(Vetor, Caremar, Snap)

Isole pontine, Ponza, arco naturaleMa per godere davvero di questi luoghi incantati è  assolutamente necessario avere una barca a propria disposizione,per apprezzare appieno mare e fondali marini, con profondità  variabile tra i 3 e i 50 metri e sperimentare emozioni magiche in un ambiente totalmente incontaminato ed intatto.
Ventotene è  un´eccellente scuba location, le scogliere sommerse non distano molto delle coste e offrono una grande varietà  di vita marina che vive li virtualmente indisturbata.Isola di Palmarola vista dall alto

La soluzione ideale è  prenotare uno yacht a motore, che permette, iniziando la vacanza sin dal primo momento di navigazione con tutti i confort a disposizione, di raggiungere le isole Pontine in soli 40 minuti , con partenza dal Circeo o da Terracina. Questo permette di trasformare un weekend in una splendida due giorni di mare. Si può  pernottare a Ponza, godendo della buona cucina (influenzata sia dalla cucina romana che da quella napoletana ,offre una varietà  infinita di piatti di pesce) e dei panorami mozzafiato, e decidere orari e posti o facendosi consigliare dell¡äequipaggio. Isola di Ponza, Grotte scavate dai romaniCosi potreste fare colazione a Ponza e farvi accompagnare poi a Palmarola, più selvaggia e non abitata, per me la vera perla dell´  arcipelago, definita da Folco Quilici ´ una delle terre emerse dal mare più  belle del nostro pianeta´. Queste isole sono davvero belle, sopra e sotto il mare. Basta pensarci per essere in vacanza davvero, trasformare un weekend nel momento più  bello della vacanza, come capita a me ogni volta che ritorno in questi posti incantati. Basta solo pensarci per essere li.
