Dal 18 Gennaio 2018 al 18 Febbraio 2018 è online il My French Film Festival 2018 con 10 film e altrettanti cortometraggi per l’ottava edizione del festival del film francese che si svolge solamente online.

My French Film Festival è un festival dedicato alla cinematografia francese disponibile in ben 13 lingue (incluso l’italiano). La selezione ufficiale 2018 comprende 10 lungometraggi e 10 cortometraggi in concorso, oltre a 10 film fuori concorso. Tutti i film sono in versione originale con sottotitoli in italiano realizzati dall’Institut Français Italia.

MyFrenchFilmFestival.com è un concetto inedito che ha lo scopo di far scoprire i giovani registi francesi e che permette agli internauti di tutto il mondo di condividere il loro amore per il cinema francese. Per la sua ottava edizione il festival torna con nuovi film, nuove piattaforme partner e uscite di lancio nelle sale di molti paesi.

 

L’edizione del 2017 ha stabilito un record con quasi 7 milioni di visioni, quest’anno in Italia il festival sarà visibile sulla piattaforma web Indiefilmchannel.tv, uno sito per tutti gli amanti del cinema indipendente, nata come risultato della cooperazione tra Romefilmmarket.com e il RIFF – Rome Independent Film Festival con le principali manifestazioni di cinema indipendenti internazionali.

I film possono essere visti anche sul sito myFrenchFilmFestival.com per tutti i paesi. Il festival è disponibile inoltre su una trentina di altre piattaforme partner, secondo i paesi, tra cui iTunes (90 paesi).

In questa edizione ben 30 film inediti tra 6 tematiche tra i quali da non perdere sono  le storie stravaganti di WTF…rench!?, i viaggi d’iniziazione di Hit the Road!, il passaggio dall’infanzia all’età adulta di Teen Stories, le ossessioni di personaggi inquietanti di French and Furious, le storie d’amore di Love «à la française», e infine una selezione di opere innovatrici in NewHorizons.

Tre premi in palio tra cui quello del pubblico che vota e commenta i film preferiti direttamente sulla piattaforma del festival.

I cortometraggi sono gratuiti in tutto il mondo. Mentre il resto dei film sono gratuiti solo in alcuni paesi come: l’America latina, la Russia, la Polonia, la Romania, l’Africa e l’India.

PAOLO SORRENTINO PRESIDENTE DELLA GIURIA

Paolo Sorrentino presiede la Giuria dell’8°edizione di MyFrenchFilmFestival, ad accompagnarlo saranno il regista franco-marocchino Nabil Ayouch con i francesi Kim Chapiron e Julia Ducournau e il regista filippino Brillante Mendoza.

Tra i titoli in concorso segnaliamo La legge della giungla di Antonin Peretjatko, Rock’n Rol di Guillaume Canet, Willy I di Ludovic Boukherma, Zoran Boukherma, Marielle Gautier e Hugo P. Thomas Deliziosa di Axel Courtière e Lazare di Tristan Lhomme, Ava di Léa Mysius, Crash Test Aglaé di Éric Gravel e Prima che l’estate finisca di Maryam Goormaghtigh, che sarà presentato fuori concorso, un film svizzero in partership con Swiss Films e per finire Il film dell’estate di Emmanuel Marre

Tra i titoli più gettonati ricordiamo anche “Teen” Un matrimonio di Stephan Streker, Swagger di Olivier Babinet, 1:54 di Yan England (fuori concorso, film canadese in partership con Telefilm Canada), Caccia reale di Romane Gueret e Lise Akoka e La nascita di un leader di Antoine de Bary.

I Film con storie di redenzione: Nella foresta di Gilles Marchand, Gli ultimi parigini di Hamé e Ékoué, Il cameraman e l’assassino di André Bonzel, Rémy Belvaux e Benoît Poelvoorde, film belga in partnership con Wallonie-Bruxelles Images WBI. E ancora Amami per sempre, per piacere di Holy Fatma, Death, Dad & Son di Denis Walgenwitz e Winshluss, La carezza di Morgane Polanski. Il film, fuori concorso, aprirà la kermesse.

Un posto privilegiato spetta sicuramente alle storie d’amore in stile francese come Victoria di Justine Triet e, tra i classici, L’ultimo metrò di François Truffaut. Inoltre Vietato annegare di Mélanie Laleu, Lunga vita all’Imperatore! di Aude Léa Rapin, Il gusto del Vietnam di Pier-Luc Latulippe. Il film sarà presentato fuori concorso. Si tratta di un film canadese in partnership con Telefilm Canada. Tra i classici fuori concorso anche Un vestito estivo di François Ozon.

Sono presenti in concorso pellicole considerate come i nuovi orizzonti del cinema francese e cineasti aperti alla sperimentazione dei mezzi narrativi. Tra questi segnaliamo Planet di Momoko Seto, Phallaina di Marietta Ren e Wei or die di Simon Bouisson.

I film sono disponibili a partire dal 19 gennaio 2018 sulla piattaforma MyFrenchFilmFestival.com e su cinquanta piattaforme partner in tutto il mondo.
