A Roma arriva Jon One con la sua prima grande personale! E’ uno dei writer più famosi e quotati nel mondo conosciuto per i suoi graffiti materici, nato ad Harlem vive oggi in Francia. Vanta collaborazioni con brand internazionali del calibro di Lacoste, Perrier, Air France e Guerlain. Si racconta: “Non ho ricevuto alcuna educazione artistica, non avrei mai immaginato che un giorno mi sarei espresso su tela!”. Dalla strada al Museo, l’artista si è distinto negli ultimi anni esponendo in diverse gallerie nel mondo da Hong Kong a Zurigo, da Los Angeles a Tel Aviv, da Seoul a Mosca.

Inaugurata a Roma il 17 marzo 2018 la mostra dal titolo “Niente può fermarmi”, Jon one presenta la prima personale romana realizza in modo perfetto tra graffiti ed espressionismo astratto, curata da Giuseppe Pizzuto per la galleria Wunderkammern. Espone 20 opere inedite di grande formato appositamente realizzate per l’occasione. La mostra si trova nel prestigioso Palazzo Velli, edificio ‘400 nel cuore di Trastevere, e è visitabile fino al 14 aprile 2018.

Jon One ha creato una sua propria tecnica basata con la calligrafia inserendo il colore e la materia pittorica che lavora con destrezza sin da quando era piccolo. Sprigiona un energia materica emozionale che esprime attraverso il colore creando luce e brillantezza, con una grande tecnica e ricerca. Nel suo espressionismo astratto troviamo influenze da Jackson Pollock a Jean Dubuffet e ispirandosi dagli esordi a Jean-Michel Basquiat, caratteristico lo stile astratto con pennellate aerodinamiche, gocciolature, motivi ispirati all’architettura o alle infrastrutture della città… Nel 2015, l’artista ha decorato l’intero guscio esterno di un aereo Boeing 777 Air France. Continua a vivere e lavorare tra New York e Parigi.

Jon One (John Andrew Perello, 1963, New York, USA) È nato nel 1963, ad Harlem, un grande quartiere di New York City.Fare i giocoli tra fallimenti a scuola e problemi familiari a casa significava che questo giovane non poteva evitare la vita quotidiana degli adolescenti in via di estinzione e poteva solo abbracciare l’educazione che le strade offrivano loro. A 17 anni ha iniziato a scrivere graffiti. Grazie al riconoscimento ottenuto dal suo lavoro sulla linea metropolitana A di New York, John ha creato, con il supporto di numerosi artisti graffitisti impegnati, la rinomata comunità internazionale 156 All Starz, nel 1984, e divenne Jonone. Durante i suoi primi anni, ha incontrato il suo omologo francese, Bando, che lo ha invitato immediatamente a Parigi. John sfogliò il marciapiede parigino, accompagnato dai pionieri dell’hip-hop francese, e iniziò a produrre dipinti nel cuore di un laboratorio all’aperto all’ospedale di Éphémère. Magda Danysz, Marcel Strouk e persino David Pluskwa hanno esposto il suo lavoro. I suoi pezzi erano abbastanza privilegiati da essere esposti a Tokyo, Monaco, New York e Hong Kong. John vive ancora a Parigi e ora ha due figli. Il suo laboratorio si trova in Oriente a Mairie des Lilas. A Parigi trova il grande successo internazionale, nel 2015 riceve la Legion d’onore dalla Repubblica Francese e la sua opera “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” viene inaugurata a Palazzo Borbone, sede dell’Assemblea nazionale.
