Per l’Estate Romana 2018, dal 13 al 26 settembre 2018, un progetto itinerante per la città di Roma: Paesaggi Umani.  Il PerformingMedia Storytelling per una narrazione in azione, con i piedi per terra e la testa nel cloud.
Non è un festival ma un viaggio: una sorta di “festa mobile” che attraversa Roma.

Tutti gli eventi saranno caratterizzati dal nomadismo, per cui sarà rarissimo occupare spazio pubblico, lo attraverseremo con i nostri walkabout di esplorazione partecipata e alcuni happening (i Silent Play e le videoproiezioni nomadi) che non presuppongono allestimenti.

Il progetto Paesaggi Umani esplora i territori e ne rivela il genius loci, coniugando le storie con le geografie.

Il progetto intende creare un percorso elettivo in cui creare le condizioni abilitanti di ascolto e di visione all’interno di alcune “isole ambientali” all’interno della città.

La peculiarità del progetto è nella conduzione di una serie di walkabout-esplorazioni partecipate che attraverseranno quartieri, rioni e borgate conversando via whisper-radio e in modalità espansa su web-radio nomade (su radiowalkabout.it ).

Il performing media s’integra con i walkabout attraverso l’uso di videoproiezioni nomadi, web-radio e mappe interattive in cui rivelare il genius loci dei territori  attraverso le voci dei suoi protagonisti (i “paesaggi umani”) in un particolare storytelling che si svilupperà con “i piedi per terra e la testa nel cloud”.

Urban Experience esplora i territori con l’approccio opposto a quello delle visite guidate, ad esplicitarlo è questo motto: ”Viaggiamo dentro noi stessi quando ci ritroviamo in luoghi che ci ricordano cosa cerchiamo”. È con l’impronta di questa idea dei passaggi continui, coniugando identità e differenze, che con Urban Experience esploriamo Roma, parlandola: conversando di ciò che ci accade “giocando la città”, mentre camminiamo, ascoltandoci grazie ai sistemi whisper-radio, con quelle cuffie che spesso vediamo indossare ai turisti in gregge e che noi usiamo con un approccio psicogeografico nello sciame dei walking-talking head erranti nella città.

È questa una delle modalità chiave per quella ricerca d’innovazione territoriale che attraverso i format di Performing Media dinamizza le esplorazioni urbane con i walkabout: ‘conversazioni nomadi’ che, grazie ai sistemi whisper-radio, sollecitano un confronto ‘connettivo’ mentre si passeggia. Il flusso peripatetico si espande così in una diffusione radiofonica partecipativa, diffusa in streaming su web-radio.

Sciamando per le strade si cerca la sintonia giusta con le piccole storie delle comunità, in un rapporto fisico, performativo e connettivo, attivando una partecipazione senziente, ludica e sodale: resiliente.

L’obiettivo è quello di attivare una consapevolezza dinamica delle peculiarità di una città che si rivela sempre più stratificata, coinvolgendo sia i cittadini più giovani delle scuole primarie sia gli anziani che ci aiutano a rilevare le tracce nascoste dai tanti sedimenti urbani che hanno cambiato la città, dinamizzando le diverse forme di rappresentanza e auto-organizzazione delle comunità, sia territoriali sia tematiche, che contribuiscono a dare forma sociale allo spazio urbano della convivenza.

Carlo Infante è changemaker, docente freelance di Performing Media, progettista culturale, fondatore di Urban Experience e scenarista per la resilienza futura. Ha diretto, negli anni Ottanta, festival come Scenari dell’Immateriale, ambito in cui s’è sviluppato il videoteatro e le prime sperimentazioni di performing media (nel 1987 il titolo dell’edizione fu “La Scena Interattiva”). Ha condotto (anche come autore) trasmissioni radiofoniche su Radio1 e Radio3, televisive come Mediamente.scuola su RAI3 e Salva con Nome su RAInews24 (nel 2009). Ha ideato (in occasione delle Olimpiadi Torino 2006) format web, come il geoblog (che permetteva di scrivere storie nelle geografie, prima di GoogleMaps), che esplicitano la tensione creativa di una Social Innovation agita nel territorio (come è accaduto con i Performing Media Lab in Salento per La Notte della Taranta, e in Piemonte all’interno di un Bene Confiscato alle Mafie di cui è stato titolare con l’associazione teatron.org). Nel 1996 al Salone del Libro di Torino ha curato il progetto Il Futuro Digitale che ha lanciato il dibattito sulle nuove tecnologie per l’apprendimento e per la Regione Piemonte ha curato i percorsi formativi per le imprese sull’Open Innovation. Ha progettato e condotto percorsi di teatro antropologico in India (con il Teatro dell’Iraa), rassegne di videocreazione in Australia (con FILEF e Melbourne Art Festival) ed happening di drammaturgia sonora (con Multirifrazione di Luigi Cinque) in Brasile. E’ autore, tra l’altro, di Educare on line (1997, Netbook), Imparare giocando (Bollati Boringhieri, 2000), Edutainment (Coop Italia, 2003), Performing Media. La nuova spettacolarità della comunicazione interattiva e mobile (Novecentolibri, 2004), Performing Media 1.1 Politica e poetica delle reti (Memori, 2006) e di molti altri saggi (+ di 80) e articoli (migliaia) per più testate (tra cui NOVA-Sole24ore, Tiscali e L’Unità, per cui ha curato l’inserto mensile UniTag, e attualmente La Nuova Ecologia, su cui ha una rubrica fissa). E’ tra i fondatori di Stati Generali dell’Innovazione (con cui nel 2012 si lancia il progetto Roma Smart City in cui si tratta di città resiliente) ne è stato componente del direttivo (come nei decenni precedenti lo era stato dell’Ass.Nazionale Critici di Teatro e della Consulta Nazionale del Video) e fa parte del comitato scientifico di Symbola. Ha curato per l‘Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani (Scienza e Tecnica- doppio volume su Informatica) il saggio Culture Digitali e diversi lemmi correlati. Ora cammina, conversa, sollecita sguardo partecipato, apprende dappertutto, con i walkabout, conversazioni peripatetiche con i piedi per terra e la testa nel cloud.
