La settimana dell’arte contemporanea della Capitale.

L’evento Rome Art Week 2017 apre questa seconda edizione con tante novità e con numeri importanti contando 411 partecipanti tra cui: 264 artisti, 33 progetti, 114 gallerie e istituzioni che proporranno 336 eventi di cultura tutti gratuiti.

E’ stato presentato a Roma presso il Centro Conferenze il progetto culturale indipendente e totalmente no-profit nato per accostare il grande pubblico ai linguaggi dell’arte contemporanea.  Dal 9 alle 14 ottobre 2017 ROME ART WEEK (RAW) porta a Roma mostre, performance, progetti, interventi critici e tanti incontri con gli artisti. Oggi più che mai è il momento di parlare di cultura e di poterla promuovere anche gratuitamente, prendendo esempio dai grandi musei all’estero e non solo.
Questa iniziativa sta dimostrando che il mondo della Cultura a Roma è corso, fiorente e forte.

Il RAW è stato ideato da Massimiliano Padovan di Benedetto e Micaela Legnaioli e promosso da KouAssociazione per la promozione delle Arti visive che si è valso quest’anno di un gruppo di professionisti che gratuitamente hanno dedicato tempo e lavoro a questo progetto a cadenza annuale.

Ha presieduto alla Conferenza di Presentazione RAW2017: Luca Bergamo, Vicesindaco di Roma e Assessore alla crescita Culturale che ha voluto sottolineare l’importanza del progetto, con il Presidente di Kou e fondatore di Rome Art Week Massimiliano Padovan di Benedetto e l’Artista e co-fondatrice del RAW Micaela Legnaioli che ha parlato delle novità, moderati da Marco Ancora, responsabile del Dipartimento Cultura della CIU. In rappresentanza dei 14 Punti di vista del RAW sono intervenuti inoltre gli artisti Giovanni Albanese e Angelo Bellobono e il critico Dir. Del Media Art Festival Valentino Catricalà.

Tante le novità della nuova edizione, a partire dalla divisione del territorio coinvolto dall’iniziativa in macro aree per le quali saranno suggeriti dei percorsi al fine di migliorare l’offerta e rendere più agevole al pubblico la partecipazione agli eventi della RAW. RAWCode, una delle novità più importanti che introduce il sistema di codifica che consente di visualizzare la scheda completa di ogni artista, progetto o struttura partecipante.
Altra novità per quest’anno è la stampa del catalogo comprensivo di tutte le strutture aderenti a RAW2017, una Directory diffusa sul territorio e valida fino all’autunno 2018, non legata al periodo della manifestazione, ma funzionale a fornire una sintesi dello “stato di fatto” degli operatori del settore attivi nella città di Roma.

L’arte è protagonista con tantissimi appuntamenti imperdibili, novità e curiosità del settore, mostre, incontri progetti per una settimana intera nella Capitale. Tra le strutture che ospitano eventi troviamo L’Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, L’Accademia di Ungheria, L’American Academy In Rome, l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, l’Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, Il Centro Sperimenta di Fotografia, Il Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Palazzo Velli Expo. Tante le strutture tra cui la Galleria Valentina Bonomo, la Mucciaccia Contemporary, lo Spazio MatEr Loft Gallery, Numero Cromatico, Anna Marra Contemporanea, Galleria d’Arte Ottocento, Galleria Gallerati, Borghini Arte Contemporanea, solo per citarne alcune.

Gli artisti del RAW apriranno i loro studi per mostrare la loro ricerca e coinvolgerli nel loro lavoro creativo; tra gli artisti ricordiamo: Gianfranco Basso, Antonella Catini, Giulietta Cavalotti, Silvana Paula Chiozza, Quirino Cipolla, Barbara Crimaudo, Andrea Felice, Giorgio Pahor, Andrea Pinchi, Critina Piceda, Fabiana Roscioli, Loredana Salzano, Francesco Donadei, Daniela Monaci, Ervin Hervè-Loranth, Evelyne Baly, Pamela Pintus, Angelica Romeo, Inna Rogatchi, Croce Taravella, Natalia Trivino, Alberto Timossi, Alfredo Dante Vallesi e molti altri…

Per questa seconda edizione, RAW riconferma i patrocini del Comune di Roma Capitale, della Regione Lazio, dell’Unione Internazionale degli Istituti di Archeologia Storia e Storia dell’Arte in Roma e della CIU – Confederazione di Unione delle Professioni intellettuali; a questi si aggiungono l’Università La Sapienza ed il MiBACT- Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo.
