E’ intitolato “Favole” il secondo singolo estratto dall’imminente nuovo album della street punk band romana Gli Ultimi. Il brano è supportato dal videoclip a firma ZEROCALCARE.
Uscirà il 9 ottobre 2021 per Time To Kill records / Hellnation records “Sine Metu” il nuovo atteso album della storica street punk band Gli Ultimi. Dopo la preview di giugno con il brano “Tutto Sbagliato”– guarda il video in basso- la band capitolina pubblica un secondo singolo dal titolo “Favole” e il brano gode del videoclip scritto, disegnato e diretto da ZEROCALCARE.
Per il fumettista romano è il secondo videoclip musicale della carriera e viene pubblicato in anticipo rispetto alla prossima uscita della serie Tv che ha realizzato per Netflix. Con “Favole” Zerocalcare racconta, come in una disillusa favola moderna, di un qualsiasi ragazzino disadattato di periferia, il quale, incontrando per caso spiriti affini, si appassiona alla cultura punk ritrovandosi così a crescere in una comunità che contribuisce alla sua formazione e alla sua identità.
Zerocalcare, fumettista italiano
Zerocalcare, nome d’arte di Michele Rech, uno dei più noti fumettisti italiani contemporanei. Decise lo pseudonimo “Zerocalcare” nacque un giorno in cui ha scelto un nickname per partecipare ad una delle prime chat su Internet e ascoltando uno spot televisivo di un prodotto anti-calcare che stava andando in onda in quel momento decise di chimarsi così.
“Favole” è un pezzo cruciale per noi – racconta la band – perché la sua scrittura ha sancito la fine di quella lunga pausa che ci eravamo presi prima di riprendere a suonare. Cattura quel preciso momento in cui eravamo sospesi tra la voglia di arrenderci e quella di andare avanti; tra disillusione e il desiderio di riscatto. Per fortuna il secondo stato d’animo ha preso il sopravvento ed è nato “Sine Metu”. La collaborazione con Michele “Zerocalcare” – conclude la band – ci riempie d’orgoglio; con lui c’è un rapporto di stima e amicizia da molti anni e, tra i vari provini che gli avevamo mandato, ha scelto “Favole” per realizzare il video, tenendo fede a una vecchia promessa che ci eravamo fatti qualche anno fa.”
“Sine Metu” verrà presentato dal vivo in due occasioni: un listening party che annunceremo nelle prossime settimane e un live showcase in un club di Roma proprio il 9 ottobre.
BIOGRAFIA BAND “GLI ULTIMI”
Gli Ultimi nascono nel 2008 in un piccolo Bar della provincia romana, da un’idea di Alessandro Palmieri e Maurizio Papacchioli, rispettivamente chitarra e voce della band. Subito dopo si uniscono al gruppo Path al basso e Roberto Bernabei alla batteria e la band inizia a provare al Muerto Studio di Manziana. L’intento è quello di unire i testi diretti tipici dell’Oi! e del Real Punk, alle sonorità più melodiche care al Punk Rock d’oltremanica. Verso la fine del 2008 pubblicano il loro primo LP, “Streetpunk”, che riceve subito molti consensi nella scena e permette alla band di muoversi dalla provincia di Roma e iniziare suonare per tutta l’Italia. Nel 2011 Gli Ultimi registrano al Temple of Noise di Roma “Questi anni”, un Ep di 3 pezzi inediti e l’omonima cover dei Kina, con 3 bonus track live. Nel 2012 esce il secondo Lp, “Storie Da Un Posto Qualunque”, 13 pezzi prodotti per la prima volta da Hellnation Records e registrati all’ Hombre Lobo Studio, da Valerio Fisik. Il disco è accompagnato da un’intensa attività live in giro per lo stivale che fa crescere la fan base data dopo data. Un anno dopo esce uno split in 7” con i Plakkaggio Hc dove le band coverizzano l’una due pezzi dell’altra, nello stile dei Byo Split targati Epitaph. Nel novembre del 2014 arriva il terzo Lp della band, “Anime Corsare”. Un disco condiviso con la storica band romana dei Klaxon, band che ha influenzato sin dall’inizio le sonorità de Gli Ultimi. Nel 2017 esce il quarto Lp, “Tre Volte Dieci”. Poco dopo la band si prende una lunga pausa e dopo un cambio formazione, che vede Alessandro C. ( già negli Automatica Aggregazione, Divergenza e The Wild Strings ) prendere il posto di Path al basso, riprende l’attività live. Nel 2019 esce online il primo brano con la nuova formazione: “Rimane una canzone”, un tributo acustico ad Angelo “Sigaro” Conti, chitarrista e cantante della Banda Bassotti. Nel Novembre 2020 Gli Ultimi entrano in studio per registrare quello che sarà il loro quinto LP che uscirà per Hellnation Records e Time To Kill Records.
