An emotional experience with songs and melodies that have become part of our collective imagination that will be difficult to resist; to rediscover, through the power of music, vibrations, and emotions that are good for the soul. Alongside him on stage, there will be the BeBand, the historical formation that has been following him for years now.
Italian musician and songwriter from Bagnoli, a suburb of Naples. After a musical experience spent in London, he began performing as a one-man-band playing guitar, kazoo, and pedal drum simultaneously, producing his own original musical trend directly influenced by big names in blues and rock – such as Neil Sedaka , Paul Anka, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles and Elvis Presley – and contaminated by accents typical of Mediterranean music.
In 2023, in the evening dedicated to the covers of the 73rd edition of the Sanremo Festival, Edoardo Bennato performed together with Leo Gassmann in a medley of his songs which included the song “A cosa serve la guerra”, taken from the album L’ western man (2003), and the timeless classics “Neverland” and “Captain Hook’s Rock”, taken from the disc. Sono solo canzonette, published in 1980 and remained in the collective memory of the Italians.
