tavola fuorigioco 2Il mondo del calcio viene raccontato nell’incontro alla Tricromia Artgallery di Roma il 25 giugno con le illustrazioni di Maurizio Quarello per una storia d’altri tempi. Coincidenza ha voluto che proprio ieri la nazionale italiana sia uscita dal mondiale brasiliano ma l’arte e la letteratura possono continuare idealmente il gioco del calcio senza tempi e nazionalismi.

“Fuorigioco” , il libro di Fabrizio Silei per Orecchio acerbo edizione, ripropone il mondo del pallone in un’Europa nazista dove in campo scende la nazionale austriaca Wunderteam, conosciuta come la “squadra delle meraviglie”. Protagonista delle tavole d’artista è Matthias Sindelar, uno dei più forti giocatori della nazionale austriaca, soprannominato il “Mozart del pallone”. A condurci alla scoperta della sua storia è Carla Ghisalberti, esperta di letteratura per l’infanzia, che nell’incontro alla Tricromia Artgallery  propone assieme alla mostra la lettura del racconto di Silei . L’autore ha scelto come voce narrante un bambino tifoso della nazionale austriaca, affascinato dall’ascesa Hitler, per raccontare la storia del grande calciatore degli anni ’30 che smise di giocare dopo l’annessione dell’Austria alla Germania. E le parole diventano figure grazie all’esposizione di Quarello che ne ripercorre la vita: la strada, la miseria, l’incontro con il campo da calcio, le prodezze, il successo.

“Vienna, primavera del 1938. Marcus, 9 anni, va pazzo per il calcio e per il Führer. Il suo eroe preferito non è però il duce tedesco, ma il capitano della nazionale austriaca, Matthias Sindelar, uno dei più grandi campioni di tutti i tempi. Marcus è sugli spalti per assistere a una storica Austria-Germania. Sarà l’ultima partita tra le due nazionali che, dopo l’annessione tedesca, si fonderanno in un’unica squadra. Estroso e imprevedibile – lo chiamano il Mozart del pallone – Sindelar rifiuta però di suonare lo spartito scritto dalle autorità naziste. E inventa. Gol e assist memorabili durante la partita. Poi, fuorigioco, un gesto altrettanto straordinario e clamoroso. Dapprima disorientato e confuso, Marcus unisce il suo al corale applauso dello stadio. A Matthias Sindelar però non la perdoneranno. Interpreti dell’incontro di figure e parole alla TRICROMIA – via della barchetta, 13 (via Giulia) a Roma, sono
Maurizio Quarello – artista e illustratore di fama europea. Classe 1974, nasce a Torino dove studia disegno grafico, illustrazione e architettura. Dopo varie esperienze nella pubblicità e nella pittura naturalistica, a partire dal 2004, si dedica all’illustrazione per l’infanzia ottenendo, in quell’anno, il e quotidiani statunitensi come il Wall Street Journal. Prix des Mediateurs Figures Futur al Salon de Montreuil e tre primi premi a concorsi nazionali. Nel 2005 pubblica il primo libro illustrato con l’editore Orecchio Acerbo di Roma, che riceve il premio Primo Voto come miglior albo italiano. Ad oggi i suoi libri sono più di 30, stampati in 19 paesi di 5 continenti, e hanno ricevuto premi e riconoscimenti in Italia, Francia, Spagna, Belgio e Germania (Premio Andersen come migliore illustratore italiano, premio spagnolo Libreter e il Libbylit in Belgio per il miglior albo dell’anno). Ha esposto in mostre personali e partecipato a mostre collettive in una quindicina di paesi. Tra queste la Mostra degli Illustratori della Fiera di Bologna, Le Immagini della Fantasia di Sarmede, Im Reich der Phantasie in Germania, La vie de château al Salon de Montreuil e Ilustrarte in Portogallo. Dal 2009 tiene master e corsi d’illustrazione per l’associazione la Fabbrica delle Favole di Macerata e dal 2011 è professore di illustrazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata.

Carla Ghisalberti – si occupa di letteratura per l’infanzia dal 1997. Nel 2003 ha fatto nascere ‘Mi leggi ti leggo’ per incentivare la passione per la lettura nelle scuole, nelle biblioteche e nelle librerie. Legge libri ad alta voce a chiunque abbia voglia di starla a sentire. Che lavoro fa?
