From 26 to 28 May 2017, in the Testaccio district, in the spaces of Ex Mattatoio, considered by many as a symbol of the creative ferment in the Capital, and precisely at the locals of “La Pelanda” – MACRO Testaccio takes place the 3rd edition of ARF! The Cartoon Festival that aims to put the narration drawn at the center of the capital scene.

In Rome we are preparing for an intense weekend of artistic activities that will see five great exclusive exhibitions starting from “MACROMANARA – All started with a Roman summer” (from May 26 to July 9, 2017) the great exposition devoted to the Master of the Eros Milo Manara and in particular his relationship with Rome and cinema, from Caravaggio and Borgia to Cinecittà with Federico Fellini and his great dives, as well as Sara Pichelli, the Italian superstar who draws for Marvel Comics and who has signed the official poster of this 2017 edition of the Festival; Gigi Cavenago the Dylan Dog Designer and All Nightmares by Sergio Bonelli Publisher; Mickey and Disney according to the “French touch” of Glénat through a collective exhibition of the four artists of the altar: Cosey, Keramidas, Loisel and Tébo; And again the well-known Bianca Bagnarelli, she was the founder of Delebile Edizioni and author of the Nobrow, Nobel Prize winner of the Bartoli Prize at the second edition of ARF !.

#ARF3 this year is growing again and enriched thanks to the presence of the leading Italian cartoon publishers with the presence of so many contemporary authors. You can admire exhibitions and participate in workshops, meetings and comparisons with industry professionals.

Three days full of professional opportunities featuring independent projects, self-productions and labels. They have set up spaces for the encounter with authors, live performances and exclusive previews.

All the ARF! Even the kids are welcome, there is a children’s room and a Free Kids Room up to 12 years old, with creative workshops, drawings and loud reading, games and books.
