Orbetello_lagunaCoprici di scampi Aldo, fai come se piovesse! E lui l’aveva fatto, per le sue bionde questo ed altro!.

Al ristorante il Cantuccio ad Orbetello io ed Ellul avevamo un tavolo, un angolo di paradiso per signore nemmeno fossimo parte della famiglia reale inglese.
Di tutta la Toscana, dei suoi cipressi e cinghiali, dei suoi borghi a roccaforte Lei aveva conquistato l’angolo meno aggressivo. Le mura di Orbetello affacciano su una laguna mite come il suo clima, il resto e’ Toscana: solo il resto. E’ tutto calmo in quella laguna che mal si combina col collinare paesaggio toscano.
Il “Cantuccio” di nome e di fatto e’ uno di quei ristoranti esclusivi per scelta. Dieci tavoli a prenotazione obbligatoria sotto controllo del Aldo che seleziona i suoi ospiti cosi’ come si farebbe in un salotto elegante. Solo carne chianina si mangia da Aldo che di tutte le tradizioni culinarie rispetta solo quella; a casa sua potreste mangiare la qualunque ma al Cantuccio no!
Ed ad Aldo avevamo chiesto di coprirci di scampi!
Come negarvelo aveva detto lui, appena li pescano vi ci copro!
Ellul era cosi’: unica nelle sue richieste come nello scegliere i convitati per la sua tavola. Era un gioco quello di andare al ristorante tutte le sere, un modo per integrarci con gli abitanti di un borgo marinaro abitato da butteri a cavallo. Dovevamo pur fare qualcosa di diverso essendo in vacanza visto che sapevamo cucinare entrambe meglio di un qualunque chef stellato.
Ma Ellul non ti invitava a cena: lei faceva le convocazioni come fa il Mister della Nazionale di Calcio e se chiama il Mister si corre…
Ho visto dirigenti e Direttori di giornali cercare affannosamente una baby sitter per sistemare i ragazzini piu’ di una volta pur di non perdersi uno dei suoi ”raduni”. E come rifiutare un invito del genere? Riusciva a mettere a tavola decine di portate in poche ore riservando prelibatezze per ogni ospite.
C’era sempre uno dei miei piatti preferiti su quella tavola fatto apposta per me come il dolce di ricotta per Aldo e Tommaso o la corallina per Maurizio o il crudo per Laura. Ce n’era per tutti, in tutti i gusti ed in tutte le salse molto prima che parlar di cucina fosse tanto di moda.
La tavola era un’espressione del suo affetto per ogni convitato. Ma non era la gola a spingerci alla sua tavola ne’ il bisogno di essere invitati ad una cena importante era come per la vita: una questione di scelte e di responsabilita.’ Un po’ come decidere di non andare se gli apostoli ci sono tutti …come si fa a non raggiungerli?
Lei era quella che riusciva a mettere insieme il Direttore di Rai Educational con il farmacista di Piazza San Cosimato. Persone diverse anche molto distanti per educazione si trovavano a passare delle meravigliose serate romane grazie al suo saper fare che diversamente non saprei descrivere. Lei che era nata a San Pellegrino Terme aveva scelto di fare di Trastevere il suo regno con un unica piccola eccezione per le vacanze ad Orbetello.
Una donna cosi’ non capita di incontrarla spesso e ci si sente onorati se ti fa dono del suo tempo.
Ellul era Ellul anche se aveva avuto tre mariti uno piu’ famoso dell’altro. Non come le altre donne che speculano sul cognome del marito cercando affermazione e riconoscimento grazie al matrimonio. Le signore Pavarotti quante sono? E le Marzotto?
Ellul era Ornella solo per lei si poteva e si doveva fare un’eccezione, non aveva infatti Lei nulla di conforme.
Era gia’ adulta quando ho avuto il piacere di conoscerla eppure il suo seno era piu’ florido del mio sebbene avesse all’epoca 50 anni e con quel corpo sodo e battagliero aveva gia’ cresciuto due robusti figli maschi. In spiaggia sulla Feniglia prima di recarci al “Cantuccio” attirava comunque l’attenzione. Sfido che Aldo per lei sapesse fare sempre un’eccezione.
Ore di passeggiate a consumare i piedi sulla sabbia senza stancarsi mai di raccontare. E cos’altro avremmo potuto fare ad Orbetello l’unica Toscana in cui non succede mai niente? Lisciarsi la pelle al sole parlando di politica e uomini si traduceva in un parlar d’amore molto piu’ di quanto non si faccia in chiesa. Era l’umana passion che l’infiammava. Non c’era miseria peggiore che la crudelta’ d’animo nel suo sentire.
Aveva vissuto momenti storici rilevanti ma delle sue cicatrici erano quelle dei parti dei figli le piu’ importanti. Sentirla descrivere il funerale di Pier Paolo Pasolini con la stessa rabbia che si puo’ rivolgere ad un giudice di gara per non aver visto un rigore era un’avventura incredibile. Ha fatto la storia di questo paese questa donna eppure voleva avermi accanto per passeggiare sulla spiaggia. E cosi’ mi ha insegnato ad essere una donna libera ed ad usare fieramente il potere del mio corpo gia’ dal secolo scorso. Sul corso d’Orbetello mi ha fatto comprare il mio primo Wonderbra, lei che non era mai stata in America mentre io avevo fatto finta di non vedere un’intero piano di un grande magazzino dedicato a questo portentoso reggiseno a New York.
Io non avevo il coraggio di far sapere al mondo che in quello spazio sarebbe entrata una donna , lei si!
Aveva divorziato prima che si potesse fare e vissuto una vita a Berlino senza parlare una parola di tedesco. Gli altri, il mondo le si era sempre adattato, gli era andato incontro perche’ aveva avuto il coraggio di mostrarsi per quello che era. Umana, fragile femmina fino all’ ultimo respiro sempre. Con una sessualita’ esibita e pulsante che ora solo Jane Fonda e’ in grado di mostrare a settantanni.
Se una donna cosi’ desidera degli scampi, gli scampi si trovano, si rubano se necessario al ristorante accanto ma si procurano! E cosi con le mani sporche di mare dopo aver succhiato fino all’ ultimo carapace fummo coperte di scampi in un ristorante dove si serve solo carne chianina. Una serata eccezionale per due amiche che dovevano festeggiare un altro contratto un altro successo un altro marito forse. Un altra volta il mondo si era piegato ai desideri di una donna confermando che e’ solo con la passione e la forza d’animo che si ottengono i risultati piu’ incredibili li’ dove meno te lo aspetti. Dove non dovrebbe accadere, dove e’ vietato, dove e’ impossibile…basta diceva Ellul essere disposti a pagarne il prezzo!
Dio ce n’e’ di scampi come di pesci nel mare! Io ne ho conosciuto uno: femmina, di nome Ornella e cognome Ellul sono diventata sua amica e con lei ci siamo attaccate alla vita celebrandola finche’ e’ stato possibile. Come bisognerebbe fare sempre: ogni volta che si incontra una bella persona o un bel piatto di scampi!

Anche nelle successive sedi (via del Corso e Largo Arenula) ospita significativi eventi della vita nazionale come l’incontro di Longo, segretario del Pci, e il movimento studentesco, la camera ardente di Pier Paolo Pasolini e tanti altri ancora come documenta l’archivio della Casa delle culture.
