Una mostra unica ha aperto a la Real Academia de España a Roma creata dall’estro e il genio dell’artista maestro Eugenio Ampudia dal titolo “Inferno Comodo”, opere ironiche ed iconiche in mostra fino al 1 aprile 2018 a cura di Blanca de la Torre.

Eugenio Ampudia si addentra in un atteggiamento critico in modo sottile sui processi artistici, sul turismo culturale e le problematiche della società globalizzata come il cambiamento climatico e il consumo. L’artista desidera creare un mondo più “comodo” alla portata di tutti, iniziando dagli spazi comuni e dal nostro stesso patrimonio culturale e artistico. Creare uno spazio agibile luogo di idee per i creatori. Ricrea un nuovo significato dell’opera d’arte in modo ironico. Rinnova l’efficienza degli spazi assegnati all’arte, così come l’analisi e l’esperienza di chi la contempla e la interpreta. La mostra è orientata per far esaltare l’analisi critica della nostra società e creare esperienza allo spettatore che la visita.

L’artista studia il significato dell’opera d’arte le integra efficacemente nei luoghi assegnati e crea un rapporto diretto con il pubblico in visita alla mostra, lo fa interagire in modo anomalo e divertente. Troviamo in modo stupefacente tra sale opere create in video di luci che ricreano il fuoco, video performance dove l’artista dorme all’interno di un luogo pubblico, una sala piena di scarafaggi di carta a muro creati con i biglietti delle mostre nel mondo del maestro e ad ogni mostra naturalmente aumentano gli animali o nel tempietto interno all’accademia giocando col rapporto cielo terra ha creato dei fuochi in gomma piuma su cui ci si può sedere. Lo spettatore diventa attivo e parte integrante dell’opera stessa interpretandola a modo suo. L’artista vuole dare la possibilità di lasciare spazio all’imprevedibile per suggerire nuove visioni per comprendere l’arte e gli ambiti a essa dedicati con il suo pubblico.

La mostra creata a la Real Academia de España en Roma è l’inizio di un progetto che nel corso di un anno si sviluppa con la collaborazione di altre istituzioni sempre a Roma come la Fondazione Baruchello che il maestro ha realizzato un’altra installazione “site-specific”; la realizzazione di un intervento nel fiume Tevere in collaborazione con l’associazione Tevereterno; e un intervento sulla facciata dell’Ambasciata di Spagna a Roma, nonché presentazioni e conferenze in musei come il MAXXI o la Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea.

L’Artista Eugenio Ampudia

Nato a Melgar, Valladolid, nel 1958. Vive e lavora a Madrid. Attualmente uno degli artisti spagnoli più riconosciuti. Il suo lavoro multidisciplinare nel 2008 ha ricevuto la borsa di studio Il Delfina Foundation (Londra) e il Premio AECA per il miglior artista spagnolo dal vivo rappresentato in ARCO08. Inoltre, è stato l’artista finalista per il Padiglione spagnolo alla Biennale di Venezia 2017. Le sue opere sono state esposte a livello internazionale in luoghi come ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germania; Galleria Nazionale delle Belle Arti della Giordania, Amman, Giordania; Museo Carrillo Gil, Città del Messico, Centro per le Arti di Monterrey e Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Oaxaca, Messico; Abierto X Obras, Matadero Madrid, Spagna; MAC Gas Natural Fenosa, La Coruña, Spagna; Boston Center for the Arts, Boston (MA), Stati Uniti; Museo di Ayala, Manila, Filippine; e in Biennali come Singapore, L’Avana, Biennale della fine del mondo. Ed è parte di collezioni come MNCARS, MUSAC, ARTIUM, IVAM, La Caixa, tra gli altri.

La curatrice Blanca de la Torre

Critica d’Arte e Curatrice indipendente. Prima del 2009, ha realizzato esposizioni a livello internazionale in città come New York, Praga, Londra e Madrid. Dal 2009 a 2014, svolge il ruolo di curatrice capo di ARTIUM, Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo . Successivamente è stata co-curatrice della trilogia di mostre Invisible Violence che ha avuto come sedi MoCAB, Museo Artium e Salzburger Kunstverein. Ha curato mostre anche a New York alla Y Gallery e alla Elisabeth Foundation for the Arts, in Messico el Centro de las Artes di Monterrey, el Museo Carrillo Gil a Città del Messico e nel Museo de Arte Contemporáneo di Oaxaca e in Colombia nel NC-Arte de Bogotá. Di recente ha realizzato esposizioni collettive tra cui spiccano Hybris al MUSAC, e Imbalance al LAZNIA Center for Contemporary Art.
