????, l’ultimo film di Flavia Mastrella e Antonio Rezza è in uscita nei cinema delle principali città dal 27 novembre. Il Cinema Lumiere di Bologna il 27 novembre, ospiterà la prima delle proiezioni inaugurali di SAMP, sempre accompagnate dall’incontro con gli autori. Seguono il giorno seguente la Sala Truffaut di Modena ed il cinema Beltrade di Milano, il Nuovo Eden di Brescia il 29, fino all’appuntamento romano dell’8 dicembre in Sala Troisi.

Il nuovo film di Flavia Mastrella e Antonio Rezza, presentato in anteprima mondiale alle Giornate degli Autori 2020, è un road movie “con l’andatura del viaggio e la dinamica della performance”. Protagonista è Samp, killer di professione e vittima di una fanatica ossessione per la musica e per le meccaniche dell’amore, che viene ingaggiato da un potente Presidente per uccidere le tradizioni.

SAMP frantuma la sceneggiatura, coglie al volo i luoghi e gli attori. L’uomo Samp è affetto da turbe psicologiche che cura con la musica. Dopo aver ammazzato la madre, vaga nella terra di Puglia alla ricerca della donna ideale; durante il suo vagabondaggio incontra persone che conducono una vita naturale, personaggi alla ricerca delle proprie origini e un singolare musicista. Improvvisamente si innamora. Non una ma più volte. Di donne inconsistenti. Uccide ancora e torna un poco umano, di quell’umanità che finirà per stroncare le sue ambizioni di potere.
Le riprese di Samp sono iniziate diciannove anni fa e terminate nel 2020. Si vedono i personaggi invecchiare insieme agli autori, mentre la vivacità delle immagini e dei colori è castigata in un fotogramma che palpita sullo schermo.

Flavia Mastrella e Antonio Rezza si occupano di comunicazione involontaria. Hanno realizzato tredici opere teatrali, cinque film lungometraggi, una serie sterminata di corto e medio metraggi. Flavia Mastrella si occupa inoltre di scultura, fotografia (ha esposto al in vari musei) e Antonio Rezza di letteratura pubblicando i suoi romanzi con la Nave di Teseo. Insieme hanno pubblicato un’antologia con Il Saggiatore. Tra il 1996 e il 2020 collaborano con Tele+ e con RAI 3. Hanno ricevuto il Premio Alinovi per l’arte interdisciplinare, il Premio Hystrio, il Premio Ubu, il Premio Napoli, l’attestato di Unicità nella Cultura a Montecitorio, il Premio Ermete Novelli e nel 2018 viene loro assegnato dalla Biennale Teatro di Venezia Il Leone d’oro alla carriera. Nel 2019 La Milanesiana li premia con la Rosa d’oro. Le loro opere sono state presentate a Parigi, Madrid, Mosca, Shanghai e New York.
