The national competition MArteLive is a festival-competition whose selections are held throughout the national territory. The aim is to discover and foster young emerging artists and promote their work on the national contemporary art scene.

Those who register by October 30th 2018 will have the opportunity to be selected for the award established by Nuovo IMAIE, which provides for the winning of a 15,000 euro booking contract. For the occasion, the registrations are back free.

 

MArteLive and Nuovo IMAIE

A booking contract of € 15,000 to the winner

MArteLive Music as part of the CALL ART. 7 L. 93/92 YEAR 2018, Nuovo IMAIE will award an artist in competition for the year 2018 with a booking contract of € 15,000

As part of the New IMAIE Call for Proposals Art. 7 L. 93/92 an emerging band or solo among those enrolled in the music section for the 2018 year of MArteLive will win in December the NEW IMAIE AWARD which will consist of a booking contract of the value of € 15,000
For the occasion, the registration to the music section of MArteLive will be free until October 30, 2018 and will be open for the first time to emerging musicians of all ages, where for emerging it is meant that the artist must not have published more than 2 album of which at least one after January 1, 2017 and its live must be composed for at least 80% from unpublished repertoire.

The aim is to discover and foster young emerging artists and promote their work on the national contemporary art scene. The MArteLive competition offers an important showcase to young artists who will be given the opportunity to get in touch with industry professionals and win a booking contract.
The pre-selections will take place through evaluation of the material sent and live selections in one of the LocalifriendsMArteLive during the evenings of A Palco Per Tutti; in regions where live performance is not possible, the ranking will be drawn up on the basis of an evaluation of the materials sent.

The winner will be announced during an evening in Rome dedicated to the IMAIE Award on 2018 December 17th: eight will be the finalists chosen at national level by a quality jury made up of some members of the MArteLive staff, while during the final the jury will be composed of experts and professionals of the sector.

The NEW IMAIE, (New Mutual Institute Artists Interpreters or Executors) is the collecting that manages the related rights of performers, administering and sharing the so-called “fair compensation” due to its representatives for public dissemination, communication, transmission and reuse the phonographic recordings they make and the cinematographic or assimilated works they interpret.

Since 2012 the MArteLive event has become the BiennaleMArteLive

The MArteLive competition offers an important showcase to young artists who will be given the opportunity to get in touch with professionals in the sector; they will be able to exhibit their works and works and perform in their performances in locations selected by the MArteLive Italia staff that will guarantee the presence of qualified juries.

The finalists from all the artistic disciplines that make up the competition and from a large part of the national territory and not, will have the opportunity to be part of the BiennaleMarteLive 2019 that will be held in Rome in an exclusive location chosen for the occasion, joining one of the most interesting events in the European panorama dedicated to the promotion of emerging art.

Registrations are open until 30 October 2019, while the regional finals are scheduled between October and November 2019.

The regional or marco-area finals in the multi-artistic formula that distinguishes the festival. The winners of the single regional or macro-area finals will arrive at the national final, Biennale MArteLive, to be held in December 2019 in Rome.

Please note: In the event that registrations arrive after the live selection period, participation in the current edition of MArteLive is not guaranteed and members will be contacted directly for selection at the next edition.

In short, the competition includes the following phases:

National Final (Rome), inserted within the MArteLive 2019 Biennial.

The number of artists selected for phases 3 and 4 is calculated in proportion to the members of the previous phases. Therefore, the exact number will be announced at the end of each phase.
