Oggi più che mai il mondo dell’Arte viene presentato da Donne, che diventano impresari e gestiscono la bellezza attraverso il contemporaneo. La richiesta è tale che negli ultimi anni ci si è trovato a dar delle conferme al mercato che chiede sempre più delle rappresentanze a Roma, città di Storia Passata presente e Futura.

È difficile essere donne del sistema dell’arte, lo dico perché vissuto in prima persona da oltre vent’anni anni, perché il sistema è ancora molto maschile come molti sistemi del mondo oggi. Durante il secolo passato del ‘900 c’è stato un grande inizio di cambiamenti, era molto raro in particolare in Italia vedere donne galleriste. Oggi la situazione è migliorata però sotto sotto c’è sempre un po’ di discriminazione, in tutta Europa. La galleria ha una funzione oggi di innovazione, di mediazione, di supporto ed è una necessità soprattutto per i giovani artisti che spesso non trovano spazio nei nostri musei, troppo concentrati sul nostro ingombrante passato e poco sulle visioni del nostro futuro. Ma l’Arte ha bisogno di essere e vivere libera…

Facciamo un tuffo nelle belle Gallerie Romane e gestite da Galleriste moderne che intervisto. Sono tutte donne intraprendenti, piene di entusiasmo e passione, sempre più professionali, di grande spessore e in ricerca continua, è un po’ questo il file rouge che le accomuna oltre l’Arte, con la A maiuscola.

Scopriamo 3 direttrici galleriste, donne, madri, mogli, lavoratrici del mondo dell’Arte a Roma. Come lavorano attraverso queste tre interviste a confronto…iniziamo…

Intervista I a Giulia Abate della Mucciaccia Contemporary – Gallerista di Roma

1) Come nasce il tuo amore per l’Arte? E quali tappe stai raggiungendo oggi?

Mi ha sempre affascinato il mondo dell’Arte e, soprattutto, gli artisti. Per me i quadri rappresentavano il mio mondo, la mia vita, mi facevano compagnia. Accompagnavo mio padre per lavoro (fotografo d’arte) negli studi degli artisti e nelle gallerie. Ricordo il viaggio al Museo del Castello di Rivoli, quando Kounellis fece un’installazione nella quale il pavimento di un enorme sala era completamente ricoperto da piccoli bicchieri colmi di Brandy. Quell’odore fortissimo è uno dei ricordi più intensi della mia infanzia. Un altro momento importante, per me, era l’atmosfera della camera oscura, quando nel foglio bianco immerso nel liquido comparivano delle immagini in bianco e nero, per me, magiche. Il mio prossimo progetto in via di realizzazione è quello di aprire una galleria d’arte contemporanea, nella quale dare visibilità ad artisti nuovi, che rappresentino la contemporaneità.

2) Mi puoi descrivere la tua filosofia in 3 espressioni?

Amore, profondo per l’arte in ogni sua espressione, Curiosità verso tutte le culture ed Entusiasmo.

3) Che rapporto hai con gli artisti e come si esplora l’arte di oggi?

Penso che un artista sia come un medium, un interprete e un creatore di immagini che ci raccontano un mondo a volte incomprensibile. Hanno la capacità di essere come delle antenne. Riescono a captare e a cogliere dei segnali di ciò che avviene nella società, con un punto di vista che poi raccontano nelle loro opere, con uno sguardo originale e personale. Quindi è fondamentale entrare nel loro studio dialogare e vivere nel loro mondo per percepire la loro visione.

4) Guardare un opera d’arte è come guardare l’anima dell’artista. Se i loro quadri potessero parlare che ci direbbero oggigiorno?

Oggi viviamo in un mondo molto complesso anche le forme artistiche più alte esprimono questo periodo storico di grande trasformazione globale.

5) Quanto è importante lo spazio espositivo per rapporto all’opera e come lo influenza?

Gli spazi espositivi tradizionali, come le gallerie o i musei sono stati, e sono tutt’ora, molto importanti per la diffusione dell’opera d’arte ma, oggi, quello che mi emoziona sono le opere inserite in contesti urbani, quando con la loro forza si impongono, trasformano e danno nuova vita all’ambiente che le circonda.

6) Cosa determina il valore di un opera d’arte contemporanea?

Il valore economico di un opera d’arte segue le regole del mercato, della domanda e dell’offerta. Diversamente è per quanto riguarda il valore artistico, che è determinato dalla qualità del lavoro e dal tempo.

7) Esiste il concetto avanti -indietro nell’arte contemporanea, che ne pensi?

L’opera d’arte contemporanea vive il nostro tempo, bello o brutto che sia. Racconta di noi quindi, forse, siamo attratti da un lavoro piuttosto che ad un altro perché ci riconosciamo in esso. Bisogna capire che cosa si intende per avanti –indietro nell’ arte … è normale che ci sia un prima e un dopo: bisogna guardare indietro per andare avanti.

8) Cosa vorresti trasmettere al nuovo pubblico? e che tema prediligi?

Vorrei che il pubblico si trasformasse in persone appassionate. Perché l’arte e la cultura devono essere le fondamenta per la società futura. Non c’è un tema che prediligo ma in me resta un legame, forse nostalgico, per la pittura e la scultura.

9) Parliamo del mercato dell’Arte contemporanea, come si possono indirizzare oggi i nuovi collezionisti?

La linea guida per i nuovi collezionisti è, secondo me, scegliere sempre ciò che piace, ciò che emoziona, considerando poi anche l’aspetto economico, perché l’arte si è dimostrata spesso un ottimo investimento.

10) Per terminare, L’arte è bellezza ed è eterna, cosa vorresti lasciare al nostro futuro….

Il concetto estetico del bello nel ‘900 è stato completamente scardinato …oggi l’arte è una riflessione e una ricerca di nuovi linguaggi, quindi viviamo le ricerche di una nuova estetica.

Non ho un’idea preordinata sulla traccia che vorrei lasciare nel futuro. Mi piacerebbe offrire ai nuovi linguaggi l’opportunità di esprimersi, quindi guardo di più al presente.
