Ispirato da una storia vera, la storia di Federico Caseddu quindicenne, che ha portato Marco Pollini a girare questo film che seppur pieno di ingenuità stilistiche consegna volendo e sapendo guardar oltre, la drammaticità del suo contenuto.
E di certe storie, di donne e di figli, è sempre meglio parlarne. E più si è, meglio è.

Quindi i complimenti vanno pur sempre fatti, a Marco Pollini che ne firma sceneggiatura e produzione e regia al suo secondo lungometraggio, alla Fondazione Film Commission Sardegna che ha finanziato un film artigianale e libero dell’ego di cineasti, difatti ci racconta del film dopo la proiezione in anteprima Pino Ammendola che ha avuto il ruolo più scomodo da interpretare, quello del padre e uomo incapace “ che seppur ingenuo come sviluppo narrativo e immagini, vi si legge il tentativo di realizzare qualcosa di poetico”.
Certo, MODA MIA ha ricevuto il beneficio di una urgenza creativa, per cui è stato scritto, prodotto, girato in quattro mesi, sicuramente un progetto ambizioso, e perseguito con tenacia, passione, lavoro, dedizione, e il sostegno di una troupe tutta sarda.
Vi si legge un contrasto, una disarmonia, però, tra inquadrature, rurali, e i tempi di narrazione, tra le estetiche dei contenuti dell’immagine, dell’inquadratura in sé, che non veicolano la drammaticità di ciò che si sta narrando.
E’ un dramma color fieno, ma i punti cruciali della sceneggiatura deludono: luoghi comuni dove sia l’estetica che il contenuto vanno piatti.

Però, in questo film di genere drammatico e imperniato su tematiche sociali, sono le persone che fanno la differenza, con la loro vera natura, il loro entusiasmo sincero.
Il bimbo protagonista, Francesco Dessous in Giovannino, è bravo, ci hanno raccontato che durante le riprese per ogni scena andava bene la prima, frequenta un corso di teatro a Cagliari e sembra tagliato davvero per fare l’attore.
E il maturo, equilibrato, poliedrico Pino Ammendola, voce doppiatore per film di Pasolini, Fellini, Monicelli, Scola, Amelio, Tornatore e Kubrick (!) in questo film, nel ruolo del personaggio peggiore che questa storia potesse portarci, sfodera un calzante accento sardo, sopratutto nelle scene in cui il personaggio rivela gli aspetti più spigolosi e crudi della sua natura.

Special Guest la conosciuta sicuramente da tutti Melissa Satta.

E qualcosa di lodevole ancora va detta : il film è ruspante, grezzo, vero, come il cinema quando è nato. Il capovolgimento è che oggi la vita vera è divenuta finzione, ma nessuno potrà toglierci i nostri antenati in sogno, gli angeli protettori, e la magia di quando parliamo con noi stessi, come Giovannino meravigliosamente fa con la sua macchina da cucire…

Complimenti Marco Pollini, ciò che ha realizzato è sicuramente più coraggioso e ammirevole che starsene a guardare drammi di vita degli altri, che ci passano sotto gli occhi come treni ad altissima velocità di cui a malapena ne distingui il colore.
