Un Musical che ti avvicina a Dio, col sorriso! Tuk Tuk, Beep Beep, siete caldi !? Siete pronti a perdere la testa ?!

Dopo il grande successo della scorsa stagione e, essersi aggiudicato ben 2 premi agli Italian Musical Awards 2016, torna al Brancaccio il Musical tratto dall’omonimo film che consacrò Whoopi Goldberg ad una svitata in abito da suora. 

 Venticinque gli splendidi brani musicali scritti dal premio Oscar Alan Menken, compositore statunitense autore delle più celebri colonne sonore Disney come “La Bella e la Bestia”, “La Sirenetta” e “Aladdin”, che spaziano tra atmosfere soul, funky e disco anni ’70, ballate pop puro stile Broadway, e in cui si innestano cori Gospel polifonici.

Il testo e le liriche avvincono il pubblico in una narrazione incalzante tra gangster e novizie, corpi a corpo, colpi di scena e rivoltella, rosari su paillettes, crocifissi su stivali cruissard rosso lacca, e un finale scintillante.

Il ruolo di Deloris alias “Suor Maria Claretta”, un ciclone che travolge la pacata vita di convento, è affidato alla madrilena con sangue cubano Belia Martin, già applauditissima protagonista dell’edizione spagnola del musical.

“L’ho vista in scena a Barcellona – dice Alessandro Longobardi – mi ha stregato con la sua interpretazione e la sua voce nera, calda, in puro stile gospel. Ha una grande energia, è una ragazza semplice ma di enorme talento; l’ho incontrata fuori dai camerini e invitata a partecipare alle audizioni a Roma, dove il regista Saverio Marconi senza esitazione ha detto: “Belìa è perfetta nel ruolo, è lei la nostra Deloris ”! 

Belia ha un carattere effervescente e una formazione accademica in canto lirico.  

Il noto Pino Strabioli, dopo il successo ottenuto con i vari programmi televisivi per la prima volta affronta il musical, egregiamente, e nel ruolo di Monsignore..la parte, con immensa dote di autoironia.  Attore, autore, conduttore televisivo, uomo di spessore e artista di rilievo, si divide fra piccolo schermo e teatro, ha lavorato in Italia assieme a tutti i talenti italiani del nostro teatro, e della televisione.

Tra gli artisti eccelle in ritmo, voce, esattezza dei movimenti una special guest : il grande successo anche poi internazionale con The Voice Italia e, del suo primo disco “Sister Cristina”, ha condotto Sorella Cristina ad abbracciare l’invito,…la chiamata (!) a questo musical.
In SISTER ACT  è la novizia rock&roll Suor Maria Roberta, carisma R&B e mistica. 

La mia passione per canto e musica credo sia nata con me, e cosí la vocazione nella musica il ballo e il canto. La musica mi è cresciuta dentro durante l’adolescenza, e la chiamata un dí, proprio mentre ballavo e cantavo.

Avevo il sogno esatto di condividere con il pubblico questa passione, che è in effetti un dono, ed offrirlo. La strada mi si è poi chiaramente delineata purificando la parte della mia vita dedicata al canto e unirla alle mie scelte religiose. Il Signore da così la possibilità a voi, a me, di testimoniare ciò se venite a vedermi all’opera, poi con un cast e un soggetto cosí come poter essere più felice e grata ! “.

Ora sento che posso usare la mia voce per esprimere esattamente questo: il mio amore per la vita, il mio messaggio di gioia. Ma è stato un percorso lungo. Cantavo con una blues band ed ero arrabbiata con tutto e tutti, con la chiesa e le regole che pensavo mi stesse imponendo. Era la classica ribellione da adolescenti. Mi chiedevo sempre: ‘Perché devo andare in chiesa?’ ” .

E’ indubbiamente insolito vedere una suora far ciò, per Suor Cristina è una cura, per sé, per tutti. E ciò la lega di più ancora a Dio: “la musica ha scelto me ed io la musica. Cos’è venuto prima? E’ come Dio. E’ Lui che sceglie te, o tu Lui? Niente è lasciato al caso”.

Dovete vederla come batte furiosamente il piede durante i brani più rock – , sarà sempre una rocker.

A passare del tempo con lei, ci si rende conto che questo dualismo non è contraddittorio, ma complementare. Dentro di lei coesistono profonda fede e passione per la musica, ed i brani che poi scegli accuratamente per le proprie incisioni enfatizzano la bellezza della trasformazione della vita, l’idea del tocco emozionale di Dio su noi:

“..uscendo dal buio della mia crisi, Dio ha toccato la mia anima e mi ha ridato la dignità di essere Sua figlia. Ho trovato un nuovo luogo, da dove ripartire”.

Cristina è entrata nel noviziato delle Orsoline e il messaggio di The Voice ha girato il mondo, la prova che la gente ha bisogno di questo tipo di messaggio, che va oltre strutture e barriere, …”…ma mi attendo presto una telefonata dall’alto..!”

Molto sonore anche le voci maschili e di Jacqueline Maria Ferry -performer, attrice, cantante, musicista. Di origine italo-francese inizia giovanissima a lavorare in Italia spaziando tra musical, tv, cinema, colonne sonore e musica live come interprete e cantautrice: Sanremo, “West Side Story”, “The Full Monty”, “Cats”, “Aggiungi un Posto a Tavola”; qui nel ruolo della Madre Superiora.

Magistrale scenografia, un Musical di produzione italiana in tournee a Roma e presto in tantissime città italiane; da tornare a vedere perchè ogni sua maestranza possa essere assaporata e ricordata sempre.

    Due i messaggi che più fortemente abbiamo portato a casa: un messaggio sull’Amicizia, un messaggio sull’Amore 

     …“ ma sei mia amica, voglio sapere a cosa rinuncio prima di prendere questa decisione che ci allontanerà… “…

…” più dai amore più amore avrai. Ma l’amore è libero, non è una strategia “.
