Andrea Chisesi is an eclectic artist and demanding that creates pure energy, a particular light. With great research and deep study eclecticism Andrea is expressed in various techniques and the meaning of his profound work and innovative surprising because there with its exhibition “4 levels” do a dip in our story inspired by the old masters …Pollaiolo , Bougureau, Bernini, all artists who had in common a search for beauty. And in this inner search of beauty that the artist wants us to catapult …

Andrea tell us about your work …

How it all started this way and that way to you?

I paint all along: the first box of paints I gave it my father, I soon started copying the great masters, then with the meeting of the master Beppe Madaudo in his study when I realized what was my direction. Painting for me is an essential need.

Spaces in various techniques of expression, “Fusion” as you have defined, which feel more yours?

In fact the technique is one, are the modes which are different. By dripping paint color, then sagging intertwine, become crosslinked, they become tangles of lines, circles and even flowers or symbols, are born from painting my fire or my preparations for mergers, painting is the principle. My paintings have many layers of color, posters ripped plaster etc. The photography in mergers is one of the layers, it is never the first, the image as a painting, as the press sees white as the absence of printing, in that dimension is combined with painting and becomes one. The fires and the vortices are my mandala, my most intimate need to paint, instead mergers are my window to the world.

Love of the past? What have the elegant heroes of the past for you?

They represent the life and the ephemeral sense of time passing. Days, years, centuries are the truth of life, nothing escapes time, it all comes back to the nature of things, and everything comes from nature and returns to it.

How long have you drawn from pop culture? Why?

The pop has contaminated all contemporary art and myself are attracted. My pop inclination makes sense because the roads are covered by the color that great artists have left us, my “Sweet son” for example is pop, My message is always bound by time, in the image of the Child Jesus with pacifier , there is attention to the ground, the message of the son of God that first of all it was a child and if he had lived in this era, would also have liked him as they all children.

We speak about the “dripping” -passion for material, gesture or just esthetic?

When I use the dripping my hand and my mind dance together, dripping is always the starting point of my fire or my vortices. Only after I began my search for balance, can take years or weeks, all my work is defined within the space of the canvas in a perfect harmony research. In your works often we speak of time and life. A popular saying says: “Everything passes, everything breaks and everything we replace” … that has weight for you and if I could stop the time as and when we’d stop …I would not stop time, I like to grow old and when my time comes to die also. I love the simple things, I just my studio with my colors, good habits. They do not replace the important things, when you lose or break something you care about the memory it holds.

In your works often we speak of time and life. A popular words says: “Everything passes, everything breaks and everything we replace” … that has weight for you and if I could stop the time as and when we’d stop?

I would not stop time, I like to grow old and when my time comes to die also. I love the simple things, I just my studio with my colors, good habits. They do not replace the important things, when you lose or break something you care about the memory it holds.

Art can stop time? It can awaken the dormant soul of life in this world?

In my opinion, art has an important task to bring the message, if artists are not sincere art for a long time can become a surrogate. Art is memory for the right man.

Speaking about this show, your experiences…lived, present and expectations?

Whenever I show the most interesting rewards are those with the viewer, which are different from each other and make me see my work from different angles. I do not expect anything because present my latest work is a festival is to rejoice together at the end of a journey and the beginning of a new. I’d like to move those who see my work, and be recognized a painter who expresses in his works the joy of the beauty of life.

Your commitment, research what is important to you? Can you explain the philosophy behind your search? As you realize?

Research is crucial as curiosity, often ask me what is the future direction for me is to ask what color would your hair or eyes my next son, who can ever know? And then what is it? Experimenting is the only way to know each other.

Your art emerges from a great passion, where you get and what you want to discover to your audience through your works?

The love for life and the art of beauty, which is not embodied only in a pretty face or a great work of art; It is the very nature and in its delicate evolutions and cruel represents us, not by chance the Matrem collection is a work about death.

What do you want for your future?

I’d like to bring my work around the world, to confront the artists of different cultures.

Finally, always ask the artists I meet … made a question that no one has ever asked you (and you’d want to hear you ask) and reply..

I would like to answer the question what is for me the smallness. Because in the end the crisis of art is linked to the market, the poverty is in many collectors who buy because a work is worth. Few are those who buy because they feel inside a work.

The 6 of December 2016 at 18, 00 in the Palazzo Velli Expo space in collaboration with the artist Atelier presents the “4 Levels” by Andrea Chisesi by Marcella Damigella.

The Artist: Andrea Chisesi born in Rome in 1972. In Milan in 1998 opened his studio “Andrea Chisesi photografer” where he soon began to experiment with a technique that he himself will define “merger”, the union of painting and photography. After ten years, he opens its first painting studio; Only in 2013 he moved to Ortigia (Syracuse), where he opened his studio and where he still lives.

The exhibition: The retrospective 6 to 20 December in Rome between the ancient rooms of the fourteenth century Palazzo Velli. “Levels 4” title is open to multiple meanings. A level after another, a section next to the other, shows that admirably exemplifies the aesthetic layering and conceptual artist, is not rigidly conceived in 4 sections in their own right. Each part is a reference to the other: fireworks, mergers, décollage, pictorial overlap, each part is closely connected with the tutto.Il corpus of 47 works offers an integral view of his actions. The complete collection will be presented in Taormina next year.
