In an almost familiar setting I got to hear a trio composed of two voices Veleria Rinaldi and Fabio Poli and Andrea Pagani on piano.
The voices gave an excellent interpretation of historical songs giving their best towards the end with bossa nova rhythms with songs by Joao Gilberto and Vinicius de Moraes.
Veleria Rinaldi has a presence as exuberant as her voice and a beauty from another era. A complete voice that interprets well the authors chosen for the evening especially Brazil. On stage she has nice and captivating movements with a body language that interprets passion and rhythm , her hands moving properly giving rhythm and tempo to the concert and also to the audience.
Fabio Poli well marries the stage with Valeria, you can see the fellowship that comes from hours of rehearsals done together numerous performances and a deep friendship. A medium-high voice helps but in some moments lacks depth in the bass however well thought out solos and interpretations.
Andrea Pagani on piano is very good. A trained composer and arranger he makes his fingers fly on the keyboard without smearing. A first-rate and high-profile accompaniment.
In conclusion, the evening was most enjoyable and well thought out.
Special thanks to Belinda Romiti press office of the Ivelise Theater who gave us the opportunity to participate in this delightful performance.
