LA STAGIONE 2021 

Si sta per concludere la brillante stagione 2021 del Globe Theatre, intitolato oggi a Gigi Proietti. Gli amanti del teatro shakespeariano, però, potranno godere ancora dei capolavori “Falstaff e le allegre comari di Windsor”, fino al 3 ottobre, delle “Pene d’amor perdute” in scena fino al 10 ottobre e altro ancora.

GLI INTRECCI FRA FALSTAFF E LE ALLEGRE COMARI

L’odierno Falstaff, per la regia di Marco Carniti, è una divertente commedia sulla falsità e sull’inganno rivista in chiave moderna dal ritmo sostenuto pop e rock, che fa anche pensare. Shakespeare scrisse in quattordici giorni “Le Allegre Comari di Windsor“, una commedia dove inserì il meglio del proprio repertorio: l’amore contrastato tra giovani, equivoci, scambi, travestimenti e beffe. Commedia capitanata da donne, definite nella traduzione ‘libere’ più che “allegre” in senso contemporaneo perché libere di pensare e agire come le donne di oggi. Il personaggio di Sir John Falstaff, valorizzato dietro richiesta della regina Elisabetta, diventerà il più amato della produzione comica shakespeariana e entra, a pieno diritto, nella storia del teatro (e non solo) e nel cuore degli spettatori di tutti i tempi. Alla pari di Amleto.

L’ATTUALE FALSTAFF

In questa nuova versione del testo troviamo frammenti da “Enrico IV” e “Enrico V” che arricchiscono il personaggio di Falstaff e che raccontano la sua origine, come il monologo di apertura dell’Enrico IV della ‘Fama’ che riflette su un mondo comandato da un’idea di successo caratterizzata da false notizie e false calunnie. Un’idea di mondo ancora drammaticamente attuale.

La commedia ambientata ai giorni nostri ha come protagonisti un gruppo di attori che si riappropria dello spazio teatrale negato a causa della pandemia, a rievocare la manifestazione del mondo dello spettacolo con i bauli nelle recenti piazze italiane, per denunciare un mondo costruito su false notizie dove il personaggio popolare di Quickly tesse un filo che unisce la rete di tutti gli inganni. Quale assonanza con le odierne fake news.

Falstaff è estremamente attuale perché spesso, come lui, ci sentiamo presi in giro. E Falstaff con la sua ‘armata Brancaleone’ rappresenta quello che noi siamo: “tutti gabbati“. E alla fine ‘Allegri’ sono gli spiriti, ma ‘Tristi’ i risultati. Il protagonista diventa così esempio di decadenza fisica e morale dell’uomo, visto come pagliaccio per il mondo, che è a sua volta pagliaccio. Si sorride e si riflette, come nelle tragicommedie, nulla è lasciato al caso.

IL MESSAGGIO DI SHAKESPEARE

Divertente come ‘Bisbetica domata’ e filosofico come ‘As you like it’, le ‘Allegre comari’ si colloca in un ‘mondo di mezzo’ che vuol far ridere delle nostre lacrime. Invitati giornalmente alla “cena delle beffe’’ l’uomo di oggi resta stritolato dal suo stesso meccanismo misto di vanità e interessi personali. Ma l’uomo per Shakespeare, fatto della stessa materia di sogni, contraddizioni che si assommano, utopie che svaniscono, si rassegna ma non muore. L’ uomo esiste e resiste. Nonostante tutto resta al centro del Globo.
