IL MUSICAL FESTEGGIA 20 ANNI

Si balla e si canta al Teatro Sistina sulle note di Grease, che quest’anno festeggia 20 anni di successi. La Compagnia della Rancia celebra il famoso musical con un’edizione speciale ricca di colori, luci e una band tutta dal vivo.

ICONE DI CANTO E BALLO

I personaggi, icone facilmente riconoscibili da tutte le generazioni, portano in scena la storia sempre attuale degli allievi di una High School americana degli anni ’50. Per questa edizione il protagonista Danny Zuko è interpretato da Guglielmo Scilla, noto sul web come Wilwoosh, che ha collezionato esperienze anche in TV, radio e cinema. Al suo fianco nei panni di Sandy, ragazza acqua e sapone, Lucia Blanco  già interprete in A Chorus Line, La Bella e la Bestia, Mamma Mia!, La febbre del sabato sera, Dirty Dancing e Footloose, che si trasforma alla fine in una sexy girl.

Insieme a loro, l’esplosivo Kenickie (Riccardo Sinisi), la ribelle e spigolosa Rizzo (Eleonora Lombardo), i T-Birds, le Pink Ladies e gli studenti della celebre High School. Sarà Nick Casciaro – dopo le esperienze musicali a Italia’s Got Talent e Amici – a interpretare il doppio ruolo di Vince Fontaine e Teen Angel. Un angelo davvero particolare, cui è dedicato il nuovo brano “Ho bisogno di un angelo” (“All I Need Is An Angel”), scritto da Tom Kitt and Brian Yorker per Grease Live! e per la prima volta al mondo inserito in una versione teatrale.

ENERGIA PURA

La performance corale è trascinante, su tutti spiccano la convincente poliedricità di “Sandy” e la potente presenza scenica di “Kenickie”. Sono passati quasi quaranta anni dall’uscita del film e venti dalla prima del musical Off Broadway. Se questo spettacolo continua a piacere, un motivo ci sarà. Più che la semplice storia d’amore a colpire gli spettatori è l’energia che trasmette. E’ un fenomeno pop che continua a coinvolgere il pubblico di ogni età con musiche elettrizzanti e irresistibili giochi di seduzione e sentimento.

Con oltre 60 persone tra cast, team creativo, tecnico e organizzativo impegnati in questa magia coloratissima che si ripete ogni sera si è aperta la stagione dello storico teatro romano e da qui  parte il tour italiano del musical di successo.

Curiosità
Prima edizione: 4 marzo 1997, l’edizione italiana di GREASE debutta al Teatro Nuovo di Milano con  Lorella Cuccarini (Sandy) e  Giampiero Ingrassia, (Danny). Nel cast originale anche Mal nel ruolo di Teen Angel e Amadeus in quello del Dj Vince Fontaine. Con le coreografie di Franco Miseria il musical resta in scena a Milano per sei mesi consecutivi, affermandosi come il primo long running show della storia dello spettacolo in Italia. Il successo milanese si replica a Roma, al Teatro Sistina tempio della commedia musicale di Garinei e Giovannini.
