I colori dei vestiti, la bellezza dei paesaggi fanno da contrasto con gli affreschi sfarzosi del palazzo romano. Come in una pellicola del neorealismo italiano, il pittore ci racconta la vita priva di tecnologia, legata all’essenza e allo stare in comunità. L’elemento più moderno è un piumino rosso indossato da una fanciulla.

Dal 14 luglio 2022, per la prima volta a Roma, Palazzo Bonaparte ospita un’ampia retrospettiva dedicata al grande maestro della pittura ad olio della Cina contemporanea Han Yuchen.

Il Tibet, la sua gente, i suoi paesaggi, la sua anima.
Un’immersione nelle bellezze naturali e spirituali del Tibet, il “Tetto del Mondo”, ma anche una galleria di ritratti di chi vive su quell’immenso altopiano.
La mostra Tibet, Splendore e Purezza testimonia – attraverso un percorso di circa 40 opere, molte delle quali di grandi dimensioni, suddivise in tre sezioni (Paesaggi, Ritratti e Spiritualità) – il profondo legame morale e spirituale che unisce la celebre regione autonoma della Cina all’illustre pittore cinese Han Yuchen.

Un artista molto legato ai valori tradizionali e alla qualità della pittura ma anche caratterizzato da una fortissima passione per l’arte europea del XIX secolo, tanto da creare nel 2007 il Museo d’Arte Han Yuchen nella città di Handan, con opere di Millet, Corot e Goya, solo per citare tre nomi altisonanti.
Ricollegandosi soprattutto all’esempio di Millet, il maestro cinese ha fatto di una pittura limpida e poetica la sua cifra stilistica, diretta e semplice come la vita dei tibetani che ha scelto di immortalare, evocando per certi versi un realismo di stampo ottocentesco, ricco di valori etici e ideali, che si fonde con le capacità tecniche sviluppate in Cina nel campo della pittura a olio.
Una volta individuati i soggetti più convincenti, Han Yuchen li traduce – attraverso un’indubbia abilità pittorica e una spiccata capacità di elaborare ampie sintesi paesaggistiche o minuziosi dettagli – in ritratti e opere dove le vesti, gli ornamenti e gli oggetti della vita quotidiana o delle cerimonie ci restituiscono un’immagine emozionante del Tibet lontano.
